Quantity Surveyor

Morro Partnerships are a leading partnerships developer, proactive in driving affordable housing and regeneration across the East and West Midlands. Our ability to adapt and regenerate has led us to become the largest privately-owned affordable housing providers in the Midlands, with over 2,500 plots in our current pipeline.

Due to our continued success, we are expanding our Commercial team and looking for a Quantity Surveyor.  This position will report to the Head of Commercial and will be the project management of a number of varied housing schemes across the East Midlands. This role will be based at our Leicester office, LE19 1WP.

What is involved within the Role?

Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:

  • Procuring and negotiating subcontract packages alongside developing new and existing partnerships with supply chain partners
  • Development of cost information working with existing budgets to deliver medium to large housing schemes
  • Close liaison with clients and their representatives with formal monthly cost reporting
  • Working closely with buying and technical departments to drive efficiencies
  • A good understanding of housing projects, especially partnerships housing

Quantity Surveyor requirements:

  • Proven experience of working in the construction sector
  • The ability to communicate, influence and challenge at all levels to deliver results
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of projects
