With a broad vision for improving lives, Morro proudly supports a range of national and local causes through initiatives like charity fundraisers, event sponsorships, and annual donations.

For us, building better communities means investing in their future, fostering inclusivity, and creating lasting positive change.

We actively seek opportunities to partner with local and national charities to help make a positive impact and real difference to our communities.

Delivering social value through housing projects

On top of our project teams speaking regularly to neighbouring residents and businesses, we have a dedicated head of social purpose to support with regular activity in our site areas.

Some of the initiatives we have undertaken include reaching out to local nurseries and schools for creative tasks and site visits, encouraging staff volunteering opportunities at local organisations and making donations of new or repurposed materials to various groups.

In addition, we are keen to support local suppliers and aim to hire within 30 miles of all our sites, supporting employment opportunities wherever there is a need.

How we record results

Our commitment to social value is underpinned by rigorous measurement and transparent reporting.

We calculate and quantify our impact using tools such as Compliance Chain, which helps us establish clear targets and track our progress against them.

We are able to utilise these reports to view a quick snapshot of key achievements and a complete overview of our social value contributions throughout the year, to keep our stakeholders informed and share our dedication to positive change.

Our commitment to helping charities

Our commitment to social value extends into supporting the vital work of charities.

We actively seek opportunities to partner with and assist organisations making a real difference in our communities.

This support takes various forms, including monetary and material donations such as ex-show home furniture, surplus timber, construction site PPE, school supplies and gym equipment.

Our teams also proudly volunteer to support community organisations, schools and charities by offering talks and site visits as well as taking part in fundraising events and activities.

By leveraging our resources and expertise, we aim to empower these organisations to amplify their impact and create positive change for the individuals and causes they serve.

We also choose to install from AquAid across our development sites. In so doing, we have become the proud sponsors of an Elephant Pump in Africa.

Our social value impact

From March 2024 to April 2025, Morro made monetary and material donations worth more than £20,000 and amounting to more than two tonnes. In addition, nearly 150 voluntary hours were given by teams to support various causes.

From April 2024 to March 2025, Morro’s social value initiatives have generated more than £4 million in total value, including more than £1 million specifically within our local economy.

These recent results underscore our ongoing commitment to creating significant and measurable social and economic benefits within the regions where we operate.

We are very pleased with the painting work carried out at our centre, it has made a huge difference to the look and feel of the centre as the old paintwork was dark and dated. Everyone has commented it is lovely and actually uplifting and more welcoming.

We have been very grateful of the support from Morro at Ryders Green Primary School. We have been supported with the donation of a wide variety of books to support our children in school and a large toy donation for our Early Years pupils. We have a very exciting visit planned for our Year 4 pupils to the site and we are also working on a canopy building project to enhance our outdoor areas. Thank you for all the incredible support.

The site team were absolutely brilliant with our students—it’s refreshing to see a company that genuinely values school visits and goes the extra mile to make them meaningful. The students left inspired, better informed, and buzzing with enthusiasm. Thank you for so generously sharing your time, insight, and expertise—it truly made a lasting impact!
