Customer Care Technician

Customer Care Technician

We are a forward-thinking construction company specialising in social and affordable housing, operating in the East and West Midlands. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Customer Care Technician to join our friendly team. This position can be based in either our Leicester office (LE19 1WP), or our Cannock office (WS11 0EJ), but travel will be essential to sites across the Midlands.

 

What is involved within the Role?
  • To carry out repair works in both occupied and unoccupied properties, to an excellent standard
  • To assess issues and decide on the best course of action to resolve them
  • To organise and plan your workload, to ensure that you have any required materials and tools in time for each appointment
  • To keep in regular contact with the other members of the team, to receive work instructions and to update them daily on jobs completed
  • To use mobile phone-based apps to receive and report back on your daily jobs and to complete your weekly timesheet
  • To assist the Customer Care Coordinator in carrying out end of defect inspections when necessary

About you

We are looking for someone who not only has the right skills to do the job but also has a friendly and professional manner when dealing with our residents and clients.

  • Pro-active and positive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Friendly manner and excellent communication skills, with an ability to remain calm under pressure and use discretion where necessary
  • Able to carry out works such as painting and decorating, general carpentry, mastic and sealant, making good, tiling, kitchen fitting, adjustment of doors and windows
  • Plumbing skills would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • Good IT skills and proficient in using mobile phone-based apps such as Outlook
  • Full driving license with a willingness to travel throughout the East and West Midlands.
