Due to our continued success, we are expanding our Customer Services team and looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join us as a trainee Customer Care Advisor based from our Leicester Office. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the housebuilding industry. You will be fully supported and trained to handle enquiries, coordinate remedial works, and ensure our social housing partners receive an outstanding post-completion experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Act as the first point of contact for housing associations, councils, and other registered providers, handling inbound calls, emails, and online queries in a professional and timely manner
· Log, track, and manage defect and maintenance reports accurately on Alpha
· Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to arrange remedial appointments and ensure works are completed to schedule
· Keep housing partners informed throughout the resolution process, providing clear and regular updates
· Support the team in managing end-of-defect-liability period inspections and sign-offs
· Carry out general administrative tasks to support the wider Customer Care department
About You:
· Genuinely passionate about delivering excellent customer service
· Good verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and empathetic telephone manner
· Well-organised with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
· A team player who is also capable of working independently
· Resilient under pressure and able to remain calm when dealing with frustrated or demanding contacts
· A desire to learn about the housebuilding industry and develop a long-term career within it
Desirable (but not essential)
· Previous experience in a customer-facing, admin, or complaints-handling role
· Some knowledge of residential construction or property
· Familiarity with the social housing sector or registered providers
